Female Soccer Players Wanted!

female-players-wanted

Swan Valley Soccer Club is always looking to extend the number and types of teams that it will be entering for the 2017 season. One of the big changes for the upcoming season is that the Valley is looking to introduction a female team to the Valley family.

Over the off season, many discussions among the committee, as well as with interested players and sponsors have occurred on the topic. With all this progressing well the Swan Valley Soccer Club wishes to open this discussion more publicly and invite any female players down to the club to start preseason training with the rest of the club. This invitation is open to players of any ability and skill level, whether you have played for years, or are looking to try the sport for the first time.

Hopefully we see a good turn out, and we can continue to grow the Valley family.

From day one all of the Soccer players and supporters fitted in to our Sporting Club like they always belonged with us and their support and good humour is much appreciated within the sporting club.

Also well done to the Division 5 team which improved dramatically throughout the season after finding the going tough in the early stages. Six wins for the season was a great effort! We look forward to bigger and better things from our Soccer boys next season!

Swan Valley Soccer Returns to the Valley

An historic day last Saturday with both of Swan Valley Sporting Club’s Soccer teams making their regular season home ground debut. SV Soccer Club 2nd Division side made short work of Cracovia SC in warm conditions to win 8 goals to one. The 5th division side came up against a very strong Joondalup SC and were soundly defeated despite a big effort from all.

Hope to see you around the club for the next game!

Soccer Returns to the Valley!!!

The Swan Valley Sporting Club is delighted to have competitive Soccer back at the club with a senior team joining our family of sporting codes this season. This is fantastic news for us to have the Soccer code back at the club where it was the foundation sport way back in 1931.

One (possibly two) team will be training on Wednesday afternoons and playing their games on Sunday afternoons under the “Swan Valley Soccer Club” team name.

Please make our new Sporting Club members feel welcome and support them in any way you can!
